Donald Wayne Chumbley, 71, of Lake City, Illinois, passed away on May 8th at OSF Transitional in Peoria. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Pamela Sue, “Susie,” daughter Stephanie Morse and husband Chris, grandchildren Makeana and Luke, all of Lovington, brother Dale Chumbley and wife Barbara of Galten, sister Patty Echols of Destin, Florida, sister Gayle Lynn Combs and husband Dale of Arcola.

He was preceded in death by sons Stephen and Denny, parents Howard and Suzanna Chumbley.

He learned at a young age to be a mechanic and continued to do so the rest of his life. He worked at ASE Blacktop in Decatur for almost 42 years where he had many job titles.

He loved his family, had many friends and will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, May 21 at 1pm at the Sullivan American Legion, 8 East Strain Street, Sullivan, Illinois.
