Donna Annette Stanton passed away March 21, 2024 from kidney failure at The Loft Peoria. She was born on May 8, 1963. She lived in East Peoria during her formative years and graduated from East Peoria High School in 1981, she was a member of the school’s choir and enjoyed singing. In May of 1991, she graduated from Bradley University with a degree in Nursing. She worked at OSF Medical Center in Peoria, IL she worked in the NICU and toward the end of her career she worked as a telephone triage nurse advising patients on various conditions.

During her lifetime, she was a wonderful dog mom to Fluffy, Sebastien, Sugar and Cocoa. They have all crossed the rainbow bridge already. These dogs brought her much joy and happiness while they were with her.

She was the daughter of Harold Pastal Stanton and Mary Ellen Stanton, Sister to Norman Stanton, Robert Stanton, Carolyn Dorothy Lovell, and Linda Severs all preceded her in death. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She enjoyed crafting, including cross stitch and other needle crafts. She was an avid sewer and enjoyed making her own clothes. She enjoyed driving and exploring Central Illinois with her dogs. She was an avid platform gamer, though she came to it late in her life, it helped her pass the time during her illness. She loved butterflies and rainbows, and her room was always bright and cheerful.
