Douglas Michael Glosser born April 17, 1950, at St Mary’s hospital in Decatur Ill, received his wings, which he earned years ago. He was an
amazing husband, brother, father, grandfather and great friend to a plethora of people in all walks of life.

At age 19 Doug enlisted in the Navy and served as an Interior Communications Electrician from 1969 to 1971. After leaving the service
and returning to Decatur, Doug filled his free time working as an Auxiliary Police Officer for 25 years while still being employed. He worked at IL Power in Decatur until 2001, then becoming the owner / operator of his own company, EMC – Electric Maintenance Contracting Service. Was a member of IBEW local 51 for fifty years. After 13 years Doug retired for the first time of many. He was called back to work by LE Myers and Asplundh Construction lending his years of experience and talent to up and coming commercial electricians. He worked as a storm chaser, assisting in bringing electrical service back to communities after the tragedy of horrific storms.

Doug’s passions included driving his Corvette, the many Harley Davidson motorcycles he owned, including his most recent Honda three-wheeler. He took many road trips to all corners of this great nation, and riding with the Boys from IL of a couple of decades.

Doug is a life member of the Eagles Club, American Legion, Vets of Foreign War, Disabled Vets of America, and the NRA.
