Duane Marshall, formerly of Wapella, IL passed away on August 31, 2025, at Goldwater Care in Clinton, IL.

Cremation rites were accorded per his wishes. He requested no services.

Duane was born 11/20/1953 to Carl and Ruby Ferrell Marshall in Bloomington, IL. Duane graduated from Heyworth High School in 1972. Duane served in the US Navy and was very proud to serve his country.

He is survived by two daughters, Kristina Louise Marshall of Clinton and Kassi Lynn Marshall of Bloomington. He is survived by 3 grandchildren, Koltin James Steiert, Paisley Harper Marshall and Piper Monroe Marshall. He is also survived by two sisters, Debby (Kevin) Schmid of Heyworth and Teresa (Bill) Robison of Bloomington. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Richard, Gale, Allen and Carl Leslie, sisters: Shirley Sledge, Ruth Ann Marshall, and Margaret Wood and one grandson, Robert James Steiert.

Duane was always making jokes. He loved to make people laugh. He was a good friend to many.

We would like to thank the staff at Goldwater Care in Clinton and the staff at OSF St. Joseph in Bloomington for all the care they gave to our brother.
