Edward A. Huffman III, “Eddy”, died peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on the 20th of September 2023 in Bloomington, IL at the age of 53.
Eddy is survived by his high school sweetheart, Carrie Huffman (Normal, IL), His mother, older sister, and older brother. Eddy has four surviving children, Alex Ethington (Atlanta, IL), Ashley Hadsall (Stanford, IL), Megan Smith (Ft. Irwin, CA), and Bryson Bose (Normal, IL); Eight grandchildren; Logan (13), Riley (11), Emmersyn (7), Maddox (5), and Norah (3) Hadsall, Piper (6), Beau (3), and Ivy (2 months) Smith. Eddy is survived by many dedicated and loyal family friends: Stephanie Tapke (Bloomington, IL), Cathy Eads (Bloomington, IL), and his best fur friend, Jedi.
He is preceded in death by his father, grandparents, and many aunts and uncles.
Eddy was born on August 22nd, 1970, in Bloomington, Illinois. He graduated from Bloomington High School. For the majority of his career, Eddy worked within Business Management.
His family remember him as a confident, funny, and loving father and friend. He was a dedicated individual who loved sports and who was skilled in many trades.
The celebration of life is scheduled for September 27, 2023, from 4-7 PM at the Loyal Order of Moose in Bloomington, IL. Due to Eddy’s love of all sports, please join us in wearing your best jersey, sports team, or athletic attire to aid us in celebrating his life.
In lieu of flowers please send donations to the local animal shelter or humane society as Eddy was an avid animal lover.
