Erin Kathleen Matherly, age 61, of Decatur, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 20, 1964, in Decatur, Illinois, Erin was a mother, sister, grandmother, and great friend.

Erin graduated from Stephen Decatur High School in 1982.

Erin is survived by former spouse William Matherly, their children Jerad Matherly (Chasidy) and Nicholas Matherly, and her cherished grandchildren, Caiden, Alexyz, Lucas, Ava, Huckstin, Myla and Knoxx. She is also mourned by her sister and brothers, Kelly Hise Lykins (Jerry), Michael Oyler (Trisha), Sean Hise, Aunt Donna Parsons and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Erin is preceded in death by mother Judith Corn and father Robert Hise.

Erin’s warmth, generosity, and unwavering dedication to family and community will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
