We lost a great trucker, 10-4-2024. Floyd P. Veteto Jr., 70, passed away on October 4th, 2024 in his home.
He was born on August 6th, 1954. He and his wife Janet married on May 20th, 1978. Together, they had two daughters: Amber (Richard) Burton and Andrea (Michael) Bentley.
He is survived by: his brothers Bill, Scott, and Ray (Becky) Veteto, his sister Theresa (Pete) Peterson, his four grandchildren: Adriana and August Burton, Alayna and Casius Bentley, and many nieces and nephews. Floyd graduated from Monticello High School Class of ‘72. He is joined in heaven by his parents, Martha and Floyd Veteto Sr., and his brother Randy Veteto.
He enjoyed his career as a trucker; Video always put a smile on anyone’s face that was in the waiting line with him at ADM. His pride and joy was his grandkids. No matter what time of year, you could always hear him watching his favorite teams, the Cincinnati Bengals and the St. Louis Cardinals. He liked to go fishing with his favorite bunch and telling jokes to anyone he met. Family, friends, and others are invited to the Central Crematorium Center, 110 West Weaver Rd., Forsyth, IL for services on Thursday, October 10th, 2024. There will be a private viewing for immediate family only starting at 9 a.m and the visitation will be from 10am-12pm. Gravesite services immediately following.
