Frances (Jo) White Wilson, age 63, passed away on July 23, 2022, at her daughter’s home, surrounded by loved ones, in Decatur, IL.

Jo was selfless, always putting her family first. She enjoyed doing puzzles, crocheting gifts, baking, spending time with family, watching cooking shows, crime reality and Christmas movies.  Jo loved baseball and was obsessed with the Chicago Cubs, acquiring such a large collection of Cub themed items that she had an entire room dedicated to them. Unfortunately, as cancer took over her body, she had to miss so much work due to chemotherapy, she had to sell off her collection one by one to make ends meet.

Jo also loved an adventure! As she lived in several different states, it was nothing for her to jump in the truck to explore, not having a plan and seeing what she could find. She was fearless as she would take old abandon roads that most people would never think to explore just to see where it led and find unique scenery. Excitement of the unknown!

Some of the best times of Jo’s life was when her husband was still alive, they belonged to the Caterpillar Boat Dock on lake Decatur and enjoyed spending time with their boating friends for many years, they all were like extended family.

Jo was born September 9, 1958, in Shelbyville, IL to Carroll and Jannis (Rice) White and was a 1976 graduate of Blue Mound High School. She married the love of her life, Bruce Wilson on November 10, 1990.

Services

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 7th, 2022, at 3:00pm at Lampstand Church in the smaller brick building chapel. 655 S Airport Rd, Decatur, IL 62521

During Jo’s long battle with cancer, she lost her job and sold her possessions for medical bills. She was so worried about leaving the burden of funeral expenses on her children as she had no life insurance or paid arrangements.

In lieu of flowers we are suggesting memorials towards funeral expenses in memory and honor of sweet Jo.

Memorials can be made to Stephenie Taylor and sent to
Central Cremation Center, In care of Frances Wilson, 110 West Weaver Rd. Forsyth, IL 62535
