Gearold “GARY” E. Krutsinger, 82, of Decatur, Illinois, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026.

Gary was born on June 26, 1943, in Clay County, Illinois, to Merle and Cubalene Krutsinger.

He is survived by his wife Deb Krutsinger, his children Robin Niehaus of Decatur, Kim Comparetto of Gainesville, Florida, Krys Baer (John) of Decatur, Scott Hockman (Shannon) of Dalton City, Rhonda Hodge (Joe) of Mt. Zion, Lora Sloan (Brandon) of Mt. Zion, as well as bonus daughters Kari Hagen (Leroy Martin) of Flora, Kaci O’Dell (Rory) of Flora, Hannah Tucker (Tony) of Flora and Rae-Anne Hoffman (Ryan) of Clay City and 24 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Gale Krutsinger, sister Judy Young and previous wife Judy Krutsinger.

Gary worked for Caterpillar almost 31 years. He also owned and operated GK Mowing. Gary loved hunting and fishing. He will be missed by family and friends.

Graveside Service on Monday, March 16th at 11 am at Oskaloosa Cemetery in Clay County IL.
