Gerald “Jerry” Bedolli, 65, of Elkhart, passed away unexpectedly on March 11, 2025, at Cornland. Jerry was born October 19, 1959, in Springfield to Gerald “Jake” Bedolli and Shirley “Kitty” Weller. Jerry married Charlene Ebbersten in Cornland on September 19, 1981.

Jerry is survived by his wife Charlene; father Jake; son Andy (Hayley) Bedolli of Buffalo, and daughter Erin (Andrew) Pederson of Leaf River, as well as grandchildren Joshua, Jacob and Kaleb Bedolli of Williamsville, Wade and Vivian Pederson of Leaf River, Wyatt and Wrenley Bedolli of Buffalo, step-grandchildren Tyler, Trista Davis and Tatum Leesman of McLean; sister Brenda (Mike) Moore of Plano, TX., brother-in-law Darrell (Lorene) Ebbersten of Elkhart.

He is preceded in death by his mother Kitty, grandparents John & Sally Bedolli and Russell & Ruth Weller.

Jerry attended St. Cabrini class of 1974 and graduated Springfield Lanphier in 1978. Jerry worked at the Franklin Life print shop, Association of Illinois Electric Coop print shop, and he was proudly working for his son at Bedolli Tiling and Excavating.

The largest enjoyment of his life was spending time with his grandchildren, and his pets have always been a major part of his life. Jerry enjoyed going to sprint car races and tractor pulls. He was a member of the Central States Thresherman’s Reunion, and he was a former member of the Illinois Tractor Pulling Association.

Our deepest appreciation goes to Jerry’s co-workers–Jordan, Brian, Roman and Dean, and the Logan County Sheriff’s Department, Mt. Pulaski Fire and Rescue, and Logan County Paramedics Association. Jerry believed in being an organ donor. Though he was not able to donate as many organs as he would have wanted, he was still able to help many in need.

Jerry was a member of the Cornland Christian Church. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Humane Society of Logan County, 1801 North Lincoln Parkway, Lincoln, IL., 62656, or Cornland Christian Church, 930 300th Street, Elkhart, IL., 62634.

In accordance with Jerry’s wishes, no services will be held, and an internment will be at Elkhart Cemetery at a later date.
