Gerald Ivan Varner, 89, of Springfield, IL, formerly of Detroit, MI passed away on August 28, 2023 at Bridgecare Suites in Springfield, IL.  Gerald was born February 23, 1934 in Detroit, MI, son of Loy C, and Naomi Elizabeth (Garst) Varner.

Gerald  attended Feitshans school, and had a successful career in Jewelry sales for many years.

He is survived by three daughters; Darlyn (Rick) Watts, Darla (Kelly) Moore, and Deena (Tom) Hayes, one son; Donald Varner, 7 Grandchildren and 10 Great-Grandchildren.

Gerald will be laid to rest after cremation at Macoupin Creek Cemetery in Farmersville, IL
