Earth tilted more on its axis as Harold J Rawe, Jr’s heart and soul left this world on July 19,2024. He was 78 years young at death. He is now spending eternity with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

Harold was the lifelong soulmate to DoAnna M. Williams Rawe. Their journey through life together began on March 11, 1971 at Eldred Baptist Church.

God blessed their union with 5 beautiful children. Tara Chapman-Wixom, husband Rick of Springfield, Il, Garold Rawe, wife Tracy Rawe of Roodhouse, IL, Douglas Rawe, wife Barbara of Springfield, IL, Vince Rawe, wife Amy of Collinsville, Il, and Rodney Rawe of Canton, IL.

His legacy leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren whom he loved very much.

Also surviving are a sister, Linda Gilbert and a brother, Andrew Cooney.

He was preceded in death by his parents Harold J Rawe, Sr and Alice Frances Rawe, a son Garold Rawe and another child that the Lord gathered back to Heaven before he could show his extreme love for them. He was also preceded in death by 2 brothers Michael Cooney and Daniel Rawe. as well as 2 grandsons Garold Rawe, Jr and Mac Denham.

He retired as a bus driver for Carrolton School District #1 in 2007, but remained employed by Jesus Christ until his death. He attended Healing Waters Church in Jerseyville, IL.

Harold loved life and others with a humongous heart. Even with his own health concerns he would continue to try to help others in their time of need. He truly lived Matthew 7:12 and Luke 6:31 every day

A memorial service in his honor is planned on August 17, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Healing Waters Temple, 205 Osage Street, Jerseyville, Il. All are invited to share special memories of a very special man.

Memorials to Healing Waters Temple church are appreciated to help complete Harold’s final wishes, but under no circumstances should memorials be sent to Residential Hospice as they lack the heart and soul required to meet the needs of individuals and family that are walking the last miles of their journey.

I will forever thank God for sending me the perfect man to travel 53 years, 4 months, 1 week and 3 hours with. Our love is forever in my heart.
