It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jacqueline “Jackie” Miller. A beloved mother, wife, daughter, aunt, and friend, who left us on October 13th, 2024.
Born in Decatur, Illinois, she dedicated her life to touching the hearts of those around her with her kindness and laughter. Her unwavering spirit will be cherished and remembered by all who knew her.
Jacqueline is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Miller and Mother, Connie Beals, of Decatur Illinois. She is also survived by her children Joseph Basil of Mount Zion, Carlie Evans of Decatur, Anthony Miller of Mattoon, Joshua Miller of Peoria, and Kyle Miller of Danville, Illinois. As well as her beloved grandchildren, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and her beloved dogs Precious and Peanut.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Wayne and Mildred Beals, her aunt Bernette Beals, and her cousin Aaron Beals.
Jacqueline was a graduate of Stephen Decatur High School. She was known for her infectious smile, warm heart, and being a true friend to many. She loved cooking, bowling, traveling, concerts, movies, music and trivia.
In lieu of a memorial service, the family will hold a celebration of life at a later date. Friends and family will be invited to come together to celebrate Jacqueline’s life and share cherished memories. The family will share details of the celebration of life at a later date
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Humane Society of Decatur & Macon County, an organization that was dear to Jacqueline’s heart.
Jacqueline’s legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire all who knew her. She leaves behind a world made brighter by her presence, and she will be deeply missed.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of Memorial Health System and Imboden Creek for taking care of Jacqueline.
