James David Tucker was born October 13, 1954. He was the son of James Howard and Berdena May (Feller) Tucker. He married Carol Sue Descaro on June 15, 1984, in Decatur, Illinois.

Dave worked at ADM maintenance for 30 years and retired in 2012. He also worked at Americana Nursing Home for seven years along with other places of employment.

He was a huge fan of The Beatles and Elvis Presley and he loved listening to all types of music. He also liked playing the guitar. He loved trips to Las Vegas and his favorite holiday was the Fourth of July as he always had plans for putting on a big display of fireworks with his friend Mark.

He is survived by his wife Carol, sister Cindy Tucker-Miller (Rick) of Streator, brother Terry (Paula) of Texas, brother Jerry Cox of Tennessee and his second cousin Joey Prather of Mattoon along with numerous nieces and nephews.

James David was preceded in death by his parents, half-brother Jack, favorite cousin Nikki Joe Prather and his dearly loved Aunt Ruby Shields who he called “Grandma.”

Visitation will be at 11:00am – 12:00pm Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Schilling Funeral Home, Graveside services following his celebration of life will be at Branch Side Cemetery, Gays, IL.
