James “Jim” Farrand, 69 of Cantrall, Illinois. Born on October 15, 1953 son of Billy Gene and Roma Farrand passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on February 15, 2023 at 2:15 a.m.

Jim is survived by his wife Brenda. They were married for 47 wonderful years. He was blessed with 3 wonderful children, Jennifer Tabit, Jessica Daily and his son Christopher “CJ” Farrand (Rachel Farrand). Jim has a wonderful older sister, Janie Farrand of Traverse City, Michigan. Jim is the Grandpa of 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.

Jim worked for at Sheet Metal Local 218 for many years and retired. He worked a short time for Bunn-O-Matic then finally left there to come home to do things at home, hunt, and he absolutely loved the 4th of July. So yes he was done with work.

Jim belonged to St. Aloysius Church in Springfield, Illinois.

There will be a Mass held in Jim’s honor at St. Aloysius Church in Springfield, Illinois at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 24th, 2023. Following Mass there will be a Celebration of Life (pot-luck style) at theVFW Post 10302 on Stockyard Road. Please come casual and wear purple, he loved purple.
