James “Jim” Lyle Pritchard, 82, of Boody, IL, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025, in Decatur, Illinois. He was born on July 28, 1943, in Taylorville, Illinois.

Jim was the son of William and Lucian Pritchard. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, William “Bill” Pritchard, Jr. and Jerry Pritchard.

On February 6, 1969, Jim married Connie Tippen in Decatur, Illinois.

Jim was a proud member of the Operating Engineers Local 965, where he dedicated many years of his life to his profession before retiring.

He is survived by his wife Connie, his sister Mary Ann (Paul) Nartker; brother John Pritchard; children Ruth Ann (Tim) Roy, Michael (Amy) Pritchard, and Steven (Kara) Pritchard; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
