James Albert McCoy Jr. (Jimmy) was born on May 26, 1963 in Decatur, IL to James Albert McCoy Sr. and Charlene Ann (Wells) McCoy. He passed away into the hands of the Lord at the age of 59 on March 6, 2023, in Decatur, IL.

Jimmy was proceeded in death by Grandparents, Orville Allen McCoy and Sarah Ellen (Allgood) McCoy of Decatur, IL, and Kenneth Charles Wells and Monica Irene (Miles) Wells of Decatur, IL; along with Aunts, Cousins and Friends.

Jimmy leaves to cherish his memory his Parents, James and Charlene McCoy of Baytown, TX; Brother, Terry and Pam McCoy of Baytown, TX; Niece, Emilee McCoy of Baytown, TX; Nephew, Ethan McCoy of Baytown, TX; Close friends, Kenneth Kennedy of Forsythe, IL, Alice “Mom Kennedy” Kennedy of Forsyth, IL, Scott Magruder of Decatur, IL, and Tom Robertson of Decatur, IL; along with numerous other Family and Close Friends.

Jimmy enjoyed spending time with family and friends fishing, bicycling, camping and attending NASCAR/Indy races. Jimmy was a longtime loved employee of Decatur Industrial Electric.

Celebrations of Life were held by family in Baytown, TX and by family and friends in Decatur, IL and Indianapolis 500 (Indianapolis, IN).
