On Thursday, July 18th, 2024, James Scott Moore, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away at the age of 73.

Scott, as he preferred to be called, was born on June 1st, 1951 in Decatur, IL to Charles and Sally Moore. He received his business degree from Millikin University where he met his wife, Emmy, who were married on August 20th, 1977. They resided in Decatur, IL and raised two sons, Adam and Nick.

Scott lived in Decatur, IL his entire life except for brief stops in Chattanooga, TN and Bradley, IL. He was always quick with a joke and occasionally long with one, but nothing made him happier than to make people laugh. He enjoyed water skiing, playing golf, beer and vacations in Hilton Head Island and Las Vegas.

To honor Scott’s memory and in lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society.

Central Cremation Center in Forsyth, Illinois has been entrusted with arrangements.
