Jennifer Ann Taylor, 52, of Harristown, IL, passed away Sunday March 9th at OSF St. Francis in Peoria surrounded by her family.

Jennifer Ann Taylor was born Jennifer Ann Gadberry in Toledo, Ohio on May 22nd 1972. She was the daughter of The late Carl Gadberry and Barbara Shoup. On August 14th 1999, Jennifer married the love of her life Franklin Taylor at Scoville Park Pavilion. Jennifer was a life long lover of everything outdoors, she especially loved camping, fishing, and spending time on Lake Sangchris and Lake Decatur with her family. She was an animal lover to her core, there wasn’t an animal she didn’t love or want to own. Jennifer spent her life taking care of her family and children, when she stopped being a homemaker she went and worked at Sangamon Valley Middle school, where she was head of the school cafeterias. So whether it was her own family or children of Sangamon Valley School district she made sure everyone was well taken care of. Probably the thing Jennifer was most proud of was when she was promoted to the role of Mimi, She was one of the best Mimi’s any child could ask for but only eight lucky grand children had the privilege of having her in their lives. Jennifer was a lovely and caring individual there wasn’t anything that she wouldn’t have done for her family, she brought a smile to everyones face when she walked into the room. She will leave a huge void in everyone’s heart who was close to her. She sadly leaves behind her husband; Franklin Taylor of Harristown. Her three children Amanda Richardson (Seth) of Decatur, IL; Heaven Hilligoss (Isaiah) of Decatur, IL; Griffin Taylor (Laura) of Colorado Springs, CO; her 8 grand children: Adalyn, Saxon, Zaylah, Zakhiryon, Zy’Mir, Za’Cari, Izzy, and Forrest. Also, She leaves behind her Mother; Barbara Sowa, Mother-in-law Ruth Taylor, Sister-in-Law Diana Osborne, Brother-in-law JR Osborne, and nephew Kolby Osborne. Brother-in-law JD Taylor, Sister-in-law Amanda Taylor, Niece Jeslyn Taylor and Nephew Asher Taylor. Jennifer was proceeded in death by her father Carl Gadberry, Step Father who she loved as a Father Arthur Sowa, and her Father-in-law Franklin Taylor.

No public services will be held, Jennifer’s wishes will be honored by her family by having a private and intimate celebration of her life.
