Jimmy “Heavy Duty” Bourne, 68 of Decatur, IL passed away on February 1, 2023. He was born October 9, 1954 in Decatur, IL. son of Howard and Earline Bourne. Graveside memorial service in his honor will be held on February 10, 2023 at 10:00am at Hall Cemetery in Blue Mound, IL.
Jimmy spent many years as an over the road truck driver, but when he had spare time he enjoyed Grilling, and time out on the golf course. Jim was large in stature but his heart was the biggest. He was always willing to help those that needed him. Jimmy was a proud Army Veteran, and in later life a Dialysis Warrior. Most of all Jim adored his family, and enjoyed spending time with them.
Jimmy is survived by his significant other, Kathy Jo Alsbury, son; Kyle, daughter; Keri (Nick), four grandchildren; Zackary, Kylie, Hannah, and Ethan, two sisters; Kathy (Dwight), and Teresa (Jerry, and two brothers; John, and Jeff (Tammy). He was preceded in death by both parent, and one son; Erik.
