Kathy Strode

Kathy Strode, 62 of Decatur was walked home to be with her creator Monday, January 16th, 2023.
She was born in Danville, Illinois October 24, 1960.
Kathy was employed for many years at St Marys hospital. She has lasting friendships that resulted from
her job.
Kathy was a loving mother above all. She was so very proud of her children. Daughter, Nicole Haines,
45 and her partner of Decatur. Also cherished her only son Anthony Trimby, 38 and wife Shana Zaker
of St Louis, MO. Kathy cherished her grandkids Carly 24, Natalie 23, Alex 22, Mason and Tessa 15.
She had her first great grandson Max, 18 months ago.
She married the love of her life Tommy Strode in 2013. She spent her life having fun and living exactly
how she wanted to.
Kathy loved to laugh and make people laugh. Her faith in god was strong and the void she left will be
felt by many. Her beloved dogs Charlie and Daisy will greatly miss her as well.
She was preceded in death by her parents, middle daughter Amanda and two brothers Chris and Mike.
The family would like to thank Keith Epperson at Central Cremation for his emphatic spirit and loving
professionalism with her service.
