Kimberly Sue Burns (Schafer) passed away on March 15, 2024, in Decatur, IL, at the age of 55. She was born on October 24, 1968, in Decatur, IL.

Kimberly was a nurturing and loving individual who cherished her family and friends, always willing to go above and beyond for them. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Bryon Burns of Decatur, her children Cody (Morgan) Burns, Ali Burns, Ariel Burns, Austin Burns, and grandchildren Landon, Zoey, JJ, and Libby Jo. Kimberly is also survived by her mother, Erma (Dennis) Chatham and sister, Melanie (Shaun) Rapp.

Kimberly was preceded in death by her father, Roger Schafer, as well as her grandparents Glenn and Lexi Boren and Ken and Virginia Schafer.

Kimberly enjoyed rides with her husband on their motorcycle and took great pleasure in caring for her grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life open house will be held 2pm – 4pm, on May 11, 2024, at Life Foursquare Church in Decatur, IL.
