Leslie Ann Bartell, 72, of Clinton, Illinois, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones.
Leslie was born in New Kensington, Pennsylvania, the daughter of John and MaryAnne Truby. She attended West Virginia University and Kutztown State University before graduating from Delaware State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration.
Leslie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family above all else. She and her husband, Michael W. Bartell, shared 52 years of marriage and a deep and enduring love. Michael was the love of her life, and the two were rarely apart. Their life together was a beautiful testament to companionship, devotion, and love.
Leslie found joy in the simple things that made a house feel like home. She loved tending to her plants and flowers, watching the birds gathered around her feeders, and decorating for every holiday. She had a special love for the ocean and treasured time spent with her friends. Most of all, she loved being surrounded by the people she cared about.
Leslie is survived by her husband, Michael W. Bartell; her son, Michael J. Bartell; daughter-in-law, Nicole L. Bartell; granddaughter, Mya A. Winter, and her husband, Kolby Winter; granddaughter, Autumn E. Bartell; great-grandson, Bohen M. Winter; and her sister, Barbara Pierce.
She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Allison E. Bartell, and her sister, Jacque White.
Leslie will be remembered for her love of family, her warmth and generosity, and the beauty and joy she brought into the lives of those around her. She leaves behind a family who will carry her memory with them and miss her more than words can express.
At Leslie’s request, there will be no funeral, but a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
