Linda K. Koger, age 73, of Decatur, Illinois, died September 18, 2022, surrounded by family. She was a beloved sister and aunt. Linda was born on October 4, 1948 in Monticello, KY, daughter of the late Robert and Nannie (Sexton) Koger. She graduated from Warrensburg High School, and she worked in human resources at Federal Kemper Insurance Company for almost 30 years before also working at ADM, State Farm Insurance Agency, Behnke & Company, and Macon County. While working full time, Linda earned her LPN from the Decatur School of Nursing in September 1998, and she graduated with an Associate in Liberal Studies from Richland Community College in December 1998. Linda volunteered with Club 305 at First Christian Church, and she enjoyed reading, golfing, doing yard work, playing slots with her sisters, and helping family and friends. She loved animals, and she fed and named the squirrels and rabbits in her yard. Linda was a great listener, and she offered thoughtful insights and advice to family and friends. She was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 3 sisters. She and her sister, Lois Finney, died within 2 days of each other. Linda is survived by sisters-in-law Connie Koger and Joyce Koger, as well as many nieces and nephews.
