Linda Sherril (Glenn) Sollis, 78, of Decatur, Illinois, passed away on March 2, 2026. Linda was born in Melrose Park, Illinois, to Elsie and Shirl Glenn. On September 27, 1962, she married David Sollis and they were married for 62 years.

Linda was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her children: Robert Sollis (Patty Carron), Sandra (Doug) Hart, and Sharon (David) Deese. She was a proud grandmother to Christi (Steven) Stine, Andrew (Tori) Pilcher, Jordan (Karyssa) Deese, Kaitlyn Deese, and Lauren Deese. Her legacy continues through her cherished great-grandchildren: Brantley and Charleigh Stine, Amelia Pilcher, and Scottie and Boston
Deese.

She is survived by her sister, Carol Snoke as well as nieces Cindy (Jimmy) Veasey and Vickie O’dea and nephews David Snoke and Rick Mayo.

Linda had a deep love for children. She worked at Little People’s Prep School for over 30 years as a teacher and director. Her dedication to nurturing and guiding young children left a lasting impact on many families in the community.

After retiring, Linda continued serving others by volunteering as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate), where she passionately advocated for foster children and worked to ensure their voices were heard.

Linda was a member of Maranatha Assembly, where she was actively involved in the Joy Group and faithfully participated in hospital and nursing home visitation, always bringing encouragement and compassion to those in need.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Sollis; her brother, Charles Glenn; and her sister-in-law, Sharon Pratt.

Linda will be remembered for her kindness, her servant’s heart, and her deep love for her family and community. Her legacy of faith, service, and compassion will live on in the many lives she touched.

Decatur, Illinois 62521
