Lisa Marie Shartzer

Lisa Marie Shartzer, 44, received her heavenly wings Tuesday, July 9th, at 2:43am.

Lisa was born on September 1st, 1979 to Randy and Jami (Masters) at St. Mary’s Hospital. Lisa worked as a server and bartender at Crawford’s Pizza & Pub in Maroa for many years, and she enjoyed seeing her regulars each week and she gained a lot of friends during her time there.

Lisa was a member of First Christian Church here in Decatur where she was baptized alongside her son and accepted the Lord as her savior forever.

Lisa was a lover of nature and being outdoors as she spent much of her time sitting on her porch with her friends and family watching the wildlife in her backyard and enjoying the weather that came and went each day. She also loved to bake and cook for those that she loved.

Lisa was preceded in death by her Grandmother, Betty Quinlan of Decatur and her father, Randy Shartzer, of Illiopolis.

Lisa is survived by her son, Tristan Ichokuan; her mother, Jami Masters; her sisters, Rebecca (Chad) Cottrell and Ashley (Adam) Kaylor; and her best friend, Cheyenne Dunham. Lisa is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

The family would also like to give a special thank you to her loving team of doctors and nurses at Cancer Care Center in Decatur and Memorial Hospital.

A private family gathering and a celebration of life will be celebrated at a later date.
