Lois Ilene Williams, 90, of Clinton went home to the Lord on Tuesday, April 29, 2025. She passed peacefully at home with her family by her side. Her celebration of life will be held on May 31, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Green Acres Campgound, 15283 State Highway 10, Clinton, IL. Interment will be at a later date in
Hudson Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Lane Christian Church or Carle Hospice. Central Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements. Ilene was born December 20, 1934, at Lake Bloomington, McLean County, Illinois. She was the only daughter born to Ralph and Isabelle (Geiger) Eades. She married Danny M. Williams on February 14, 1953. He preceded her in death August 13, 2015. Ilene was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She is survived by her four children: Terri Williams-Teutsch, Danny (Robin) Williams, Debbie Murphy all of Clinton, IL and Denise (John) McConkey of Monticello, IL.
She also leaves behind 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She is also leaves behind 2 sisters, Loretta Powell of Sand Gap, KY, and Marsha Hardwick of Kansas City, MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son (Charles Williams), three grandchildren, two brothers and one sister.
Ilene enjoyed meeting others and never met a stranger. She and Danny built Green Acres Campground as a place where families can relax and enjoy their time together. She was also an avid bowler for many years carrying an average of over 180 for many years and had bowled in 43 consecutive national tournaments. She had served as Bloomington Women’s Bowling Association secretary and vice president for many years and more recently as a director for the Greater Bloomington USBC. She was also a life member of the Women of
the Moose and had attained the College of Regents and Star Recorder Degrees. Ilene was active in her church and worshipped at Lane Christian Church.
The family would like to thank Judy, Heather, Sarah, Lauren, Amy, Amari and Tom P. from Carle Hospice for their compassionate care.
