Marilyn Miller, born in Cincinnati, Ohio on October 7, 1947 to her parents Ronald and Thelma Badgley; beloved wife of Ronald Miller (married June 7, 1969); mother of Marc (Jennifer) Miller (Highland, IL) and Melissa (Tim) Taylor (Divernon, IL); sister of Michael Badgley (Cincinnati, OH); grandmother to (known to her grandchildren as Mare) Joseph Edwards (Knoxville, TN), Kagen Edwards (Atlanta, GA), Tessa Miller (St. Louis, MO) and Tate Miller (Highland, IL) and great-grandmother of Athena Archibald-Edwards (Knoxville, TN) along with several nieces and nephews.

She retired from Springfield Public School District 186 after 20 years as an elementary school teacher at Black Hawk, Hay-Edwards and Pleasant Hills. She also taught Sunday School classes for many years. Marilyn loved children, flowers and gardening; she enjoyed traveling and crafts (especially card making). She was a faithful follower of Christ whom she went home to be with on November 6, 2023 at the age of 76.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Cherry Hills Church in Springfield, IL on November 18, 2023 with visitation at 2 p.m. and service at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association.

Central Cremation Center in Forsyth, IL is handling arrangements.
