Martha “Jean” Replogle (née Thompson), of Springfield, passed away peacefully on
December 21, 2024. She was born on January 26, 1951, to the late Edna M. Rowe and
Tommy J. Thompson.
Jean, a retiree from the State of Illinois, was a woman of many passions. She found joy
in volunteering, exploring new destinations, sewing, solving puzzles, and delving into
the pages of a captivating mystery book.
She was preceded in death by her father, Tommy J. Thompson; her mother, Edna M.
Rowe; her sisters, Brenda Thompson and Valerie Henrichsmeyer; and her brother,
Tommy “Steve” Thompson.
Jean's legacy lives on through her son, Brian Replogle; her sister, Donna (Fritz) Long;
her nephew, T.J. Long (Emily); and her niece, Emily (Rex) Shawgo.
The family would like to express gratitude for the love and support shown during this
difficult time. A family celebration of Jean’s life will be held in Springfield, IL, at a later
date.
