Decatur – Mary M. Hunt of Decatur
died at home Friday, December 23,
2022, with family by her side.

Mary was born March 29, 1940, in
Evansville, IN. She was the daughter of
Ernest and Marcella (Brothers)
Osborne. Mary was a devoted wife and
loving mother, and grandmother. She
married Larry M. Hunt on June 17,
1959. Mary most enjoyed caring for and
spending time with her family. She was
fondly called “Maggie” by so many who
loved her.

Mary enjoyed years of traveling and
camping throughout the United States
with her husband. Before her diagnosis
of Rheumatoid Arthritis, she enjoyed
water skiing, biking, roller skating, and
dancing. She also enjoyed sewing,
baking, antiquing, gardening, and the
St. Louis Cardinals.

Surviving family members will greatly
miss Maggie; daughter Carol (Hunt)
Vissering and husband Rick;
grandchildren Dustin Vissering and wife
Candace; McKensie Vissering and fiancé
Sean Cory of the Peoria, IL area;
daughter Teresa Hunt of Decatur; and
son Terry Hunt and fiancé Blanca
Sanchez of Naples FL.

As requested, a private service will be
held for immediate family. In lieu of
flowers, the family suggests memorials
be made to the National Arthritis
Foundation or Animal Shelter. As a
memorial request, consider becoming
an eligible organ donor by signing your
driver’s license back and making your
family aware of your wishes.
