Sherman — Max William “Bill” Shepard passed away on November 21, 2022, at age 85. He was preceded in death by his mother, Edna Conrad Shepard, his sister, Shirley McKain, his brother, Ross Shepard, and his son, Mark Shepard. He is survived by his daughters Pam (Richard) Kennedy and Lisa Shepard (Scott). He was proud of his grand dogs, Henry and Scout. Dad and Henry spent lots of time just watching the world go by, eating ice cream and watching eagles along the river. He served in the Navy and was very patriotic.

He was president of the Flagland Parks Homeowners’ Association for 18 years. He worked tirelessly to uphold property values and make the subdivision a nice place to live. He was a good neighbor and friend. He was meticulous; many said he had the cleanest garage they had ever seen!
Dad was a proud Lanphier Lion, Class of 1955. He planned monthly dinners with his classmates over the years so they could remain close friends. He was an accountant by profession and was a witty, dignified, sharp dressed man with an impressive tie collection. The man couldn’t get enough chili from The Chili Parlor!

He will be greatly missed! A memorial service may be held at a later date. Dad appreciated all animals. Please consider a donation in his memory to The Animal Protective League of Springfield, PAWS in Jacksonville or the American Eagle Foundation.
