Melanie Scribner, 54, of Decatur Illinois, passed away peacefully on May 17 th , 2026 at Mattoon Healthcare surrounded by her family.

Melanie was one of a kind, you could never meet another like her! She loved her family, her friends and she cherished her sweet kitty, Jasper!

Melanie is survived by her two children, Alyssa Huffman of Mattoon Il., and Clayton & Shiann White of Sullivan Il., three grandchildren, Kylen, Chesney, and Snowe, two siblings, Steven Scribner and Vonnie Lamb. She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Bud and Darlene Scribner.

No public services will be held, but we invite you to celebrate Melanie’s memory in your own ways as she will be with us in spirit. The family wants to thank everyone for their love, support and understanding at this difficult time.
