Pontiac, IL–Micheal Eugene Moss, 72, passed away at his home on Sunday, August 3, 2025, with his wife by his side. Cremation rites have been accorded.

Micheal was born July 4, 1953, in Ironton, Missouri, the son of Lorhn E. Moss and Bebe E. Moss (Moreland). He married Jolene Snow on July 30, 1977, in Pontiac, Illinois.

He is survived by his wife Jolene of Pontiac, his daughter Melissa of Pontiac, brother Randy (Belinda) Moss of Stoutsville, Missouri, sister Karen (Roger) Walka of Pacific, Missouri, nephew Kevin Moss of Bloomington, Mother-in-law Joyce (Snow) Lorrance of Pontiac, Sister-in-law Brenda (Mike) Keene of Pontiac, Brothers-in-law John (Diana) Snow and Jerry (Sandy) Snow both of Pontiac, three grandchildren Haylie Renee, Emily Rose and Braylon Cristopher and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who loved him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his son Bryan Kristopher, parents Lorhn & Bebe Moss, maternal grandparents Clarence and Pauline Moreland of Piedmont, Missouri and paternal grandparents Ervin and Gladys Moss of Des Arc, Missouri.

He served in the Army and the National Guard.

Micheal was a St. Louis Cardinals and NASCAR fan. He loved spending time with his family and three grandchildren as well as the love of his life, his wife Jolene. They were married for 48 years and together for 50 years. Mike loved hunting and camping as well as dancing with his wife before his health declined.

Mike fought the battle of kidney disease and dialysis just as his son did.

Memorials can be made to the family or to a charity of the donor’s choice. There will be no visitation or funeral at the request of Micheal.

Central Cremation Center in Forsyth, Illinois, is in charge of the arrangements.
