It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, and friend, Miranda Rose Malone who left us on January 2, 2025 at the age of 45 to join her mother, Kimberly Anne Teschner, in heavenly spirit.

Born on July 24, 1979, in Decatur, IL, Miranda was a radiant light in the lives of all who knew her. She was a remarkable woman, known for her kindness, generosity, love for family, and her unwavering support for those she loved.

Miranda devoted her life to helping others in the field of social services.  After obtaining her master’s degree in social work she touched countless lives as a residential therapist at Kemmerrer Villiage and Webster Cantrell Hall, and as a case worker for the Macon County Health Department early on in her career.  Her laughter, warmth, and love will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her loving husband, William Malone (Billy), and their children, Conor Malone and Delainey Malone.  She also leaves behind sisters Heather Benner and Dinneen Moore, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends who cherished her deeply.

A celebration of Miranda’s life will be held in the early Spring as the weather gets warmer.  Details will be shared via a Facebook event and all friends and family are invited to join us in remembering her beautiful spirit and the indelible mark she left on our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Leiomyosarcoma research specifically through the Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Forever in our hearts, Miranda will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
