Nancie Mae Ryan, 71, passed away on February 9, 2024 with her family at her side. Nancie was born to Otis George and Emily Grace (Merrill) Ryan on March 30, 1952 in Syracuse, New York. She leaves behind sisters, Kathleen (Ken) Sargent of Decatur, Illinois, Maureen Ryan of Sullivan, Illinois, sister-in-law Patty Ryan, and nieces, nephew, and great nieces and nephews.

Nancie was predeceased by her parents, her brother Thomas Ryan, and sister Donna Lee Ryan. She worked at Rothley’s Garment Factory, Jane’s Cleaners, and had a child daycare business in her home. Her family wishes to thank Gentiva Hospice Services, Decatur Rehabilitation Center, and Central Cremation Center for their compassionate care of Nancie. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.

Nancie accepted the Lord as her Savior and will now sleep until that day Jesus returns, the trump blows, and Jesus wakes her to everlasting life. “It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown.
