Nolan Paul Mason Jr. was born on July 31st, 1966 in Decatur IL and was preceded in death by his parents Nolan Mason Sr (Virginia Ann (McVay) Mason). He retired from the State of Illinois Department of Natural Resources in February of 2024 after 33 years. “Too Tall Paul” was a great friend and relative to everyone he knew and loved. He married the love of his life Tina Mason on August 29, 1987, and he would tell you it was 37 years of “Pure Bliss.” He was her Ride or Die. They created a fabulous life together, travelled, and raised a beautiful family. He was the President of the Top 5 Team, and an avid Duck hunter that spent October-December every year at “Alaska Boy-Scout Camp with his boyfriends”, he will be missed by so many in the duck blind. He was also the leader of his own Harley Davidson Motorcycle Gang made up of his closest friends, and he was the life of every party he attended. He will be missed at his favorite watering hole, the Koo Koo 2, and he still thinks the only thing missing from that place, is his pole. “Big Sexy” was a dancing bear and he had moves like jagger. He had a lot of fun singing the best, worst, karaoke, and in true “Big Sexy” fashion, he “way too sexy for his shirt”. Too Tall never met a stranger. He was famous with his one liners and often told people to “HUSH YOUR MOUTH!!” He was a wonderful father to his two children, Michael Mason, and Nichole (Kenny) Fox. He was the best papa to his three grandkids, Dylon, Isabella, and Spencer; they were his everything. He travelled all over the midwest to attend sporting events and spent countless weekends taking them camping, fishing, boating, and hunting. He was loved by everyone who knew him and he will be forever missed here on Earth.
