Patty Ann Traxler (Rodgers/Barter), 59, was born on August 2, 1965 (to September 5, 2024) to Stephen & Sandra Barter in Decatur. She attended Macarthur High school and graduated with the class of 1983. In 1982 Patty married Eric Rodgers, with whom she shared her three children, Kyle, Karson, and Klayton.

Patty worked as a respiratory therapist for a short time, at ADM as a laborer for 10 years, and later at Hydro-Gear and the Loft as a housekeeper before retirement.

In 2007, Patty married Mark Traxler.

Patty was once a vibrant, bubbly, happy person, but with the loss of her three sons she was never quite the same. We will miss Patty greatly, but we know she is finally at peace and reunited with her boys whom she never stopped mourning.

Patty was preceded in death by her sons Kyle, Karson, and Klayton. She is survived by her parents–Steve and Sandy, sister–Julie Sanderlin, Grandchildren—Hudson, Kruze, Kennedy, Klover, & Kampton, Nephew—Cory (Shannon), Niece—Melissa, and great nieces and nephew Cannon, Alexa, and Maisie.

Graveside services for Patty will be held privately per her wishes. She will be buried with her boys where she can finally rest peacefully with them.
