Paula Jayne Gottschalk,80 of Stanford, IL. passed away on November 11,2023 at Carle BroMenn Hospital in Normal, IL. after a long battle of Lewybody Dementia.

Paula was born January 31,1943 in Normal, IL. to Esther Mae (Graham)Wingett and John Paul Wingett. Two brothers, William, Michael and a sister Nancy Wingett. Paula was the last survivor of her” Wingett “clan.

Paula had 4 children from her first marriage. (Cynthia, Timothy, Robin and Peggy).

She later married the love of her life and childhood friend, Theodore E. Pershall in July of 1990, she gained two step sons from that marriage. Ted Jr. and Bobby Perschall.

Paula loved traveling with Ted in their motorhome. Finding new restaurants and camping spots on a whim. Together they retired, making a home in Arkansas on 4 acres of wooded land, where she raised many dogs. Ted passed away in July of 2011. Paula then moved back to Illinois, to be with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Her biggest joy was spending time with all of her family. She put others first and loved to take care of everyone. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother (Gigi). Her sense of humor and her stubbornness will be missed most of all.

Deceased are her parents, her brothers and sister.

Surviving her children Cynthia Goembel (Stanford,IL.), Timothy Gottschalk(Leslie,AK.), Robin Denison,(Stanford,IL), Peggy (Tom)Dwyer (Peoria,IL.), Theodore Pershall(Joni) (Panora, IA) and Robert Pershall (Sonja),(Hartsburg IL.) along with many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren
