Priscilla French, 70, of Decatur, IL, passed away peacefully on September 19th, at her home, surrounded by family. Born on November 4th, in Rockford, IL, to Paul and Sally Van Pernis, Priscilla spent her life cherishing her relationships and passions.

Known for her many hobbies and interests, Priscilla found joy in gardening, cooking, and horseback riding. She was passionate about knitting and weaving, often spending time sharing and teaching others. Priscilla also enjoyed camping and could frequently be found roaming the country with her husband, Robert, in their camper.

Her generosity and enthusiasm for life left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. She had a unique talent for connecting with others through her passions, making her beloved by friends and family alike.

Priscilla is survived by her husband, Robert French; her children, Timothy French (Lindsey) and Elizabeth French, and her two grandsons, Conner and Calvin French. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, David Van Pernis.

A private service will be held for immediate family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Illinois Monarch Project, reflecting Priscilla’s passion for the natural world and gardening.
