Ralph L Lewsader 1954-2023

Ralph L Lewsader, a strong voice, kind soul, and fierce warrior. Passed peacefully on March 25 at home surrounded in love and support by his family. We are sad his life with us is over but smile because he lived.

Ralph was born October 5, 1954 to Charles and Ruth Lewsader in Paris, Il His parents along with his brother Charlie Lewsader preceded him in death.
In his early career Ralph created Rapid Ralph Productions. He promoted rock concerts in central Illinois. He eventually became a member of Laborers Local 703 in Urbana, which he hated but did anyway because there were bills to pay. The most meaningful job he held was that of Fatherhood which he held until his time of passing. The job was the most challenging and the pay was quite pitiful. The work environment at times was less than positive and should have been reported to some labor board. He lucked out however when bonuses were handed out. He received three of the most priceless awards: 3 adult children with the Good Person Seal of Approval. Jake and Bailey will be forever grateful for his teachings and his passion to stand up for your beliefs; to help people in need: and the value of lifelong friends. His three grandchildren will remember their papa as funny, loving, and sometimes annoying. He was predeceased by his beloved son Joshua in 2008.

Ralph enjoyed Illinois sports. Nascar, traveling and music. He was able to take his last trip to Clearwater Beach one week before his passing to bury his toes in the warm sand. His favorite past time however was spending time with family. He was especially fond of Sunday-Fundays with lots of good food, a sporting event or summertime pool party, music, laughter and kid chaos. Ralphs pride and joy by far were Kennedy, Tucker, and Madden, his three grand kids. Watching them grow, learn, play and laugh was the beat in his heart. He left them knowing family is strength and love is forever.
He will be missed by his lifelong friend, previously known as his wife Victoria, his sister Minon Smith of Hume, IL., Several sister in-laws, nieces. nephews, cousins and friends.

Special thanks to Ralph’s life-long friend and sister in law Kim Burke, who helped care for him during his 6 month cancer fight. Ralph cherished her friendship, and her tender love and compassion will never be forgotten.

A celebration of life will be held April 29 from 1-5. Lake of the Woods Pavilion, Lake of the Woods Forest Preserves 109 S Lake of the Woods road Mahomet, IL 61853

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to the family to help cover final expenses.
