Randall W. (Randy) Boaz, 62, of Decatur, passed away on January 7, 2025, at Decatur Memorial Hospital. His arrangements are entrusted to Central Cremation Center.

Randy was born on November 19, 1962, to Herbert W. Boaz and Donna M. (Pacatte) Boaz. He married Susan E. Long on April 21, 1990. He graduated from Stephen Decatur High School and Richland Community College. He worked as a printer and later earned his CDL and became an OTR truck driver.

Randy was passionate about his family, his cats, dirt track racing, NASCAR, Indy and drag racing and racing photography.

He is survived by his wife Susan, mother-in-law Patricia Glasscock of Oreana, sisters-in-law Cathy (Pat) Rentschler of Harristown, Laurie (Lynn) Dale of Elwin, nephews Chad Rentschler, Dan Rentschler, Lukas Dale all of Decatur, niece Leslie (Steven) Gray of Oreana and Aunt Millie Blaylock of Assumption. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Jeffrey Long.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
