Raymond E. Maulden, 60 of Decatur passed away on Monday March 27th, 2023 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL after a long battle with cancer and other health problems.

He was born September 28, 1962 to Raymond H. Maulden Jr. and Rose (Rollinger) Crane in Montgomery, Alabama.

He enjoyed baseball, bowling, fishing and drinking beer. He worked at Kroger for several years and Tyson Foods for several years.

Ray is survived by sons Raymond (Viena) Bone of San Diego, California, Brian (Tanya) Maulden of Monticello, Illinois, daughters Tiffany (Cord) Neideffer of Decatur, Illinois, Joharra Maulden of Charleston, Illinois, Fantasia Maulden of Clearwater, Florida, brothers Russell (Nancy) Maulden, Gary Maulden, Barry (Jeri Lynn) Maulden, Darrell (Sharon) Maulden, grandchildren Chance, Destiny, Trinity, Chloe, Vanya, Gunnar, Mila, Elise, Corina, Vincent, and Maria, and several nieces , nephews, aunts , uncles, and a ton of cousins.

Ray was preceded in death by his father Raymond H. Maulden Jr, Step father John “Jack” Crane, brother Michael “Laney” Maulden, sister Virgie Maulden-Walston, brother in law Danny Walston, nephew Jason Maulden, great-nephew Landon Maulden, and his Grandparents…

Memorial Celebration for Ray will be Saturday April 1st at the Adam’s Apple in Decatur at 5pm.
