Renee I. Phipps, 72 of Decatur, IL, went to be with the Lord on October 16, 2023, passing away peacefully in her sleep.

Renee was born May 16, 1951 in Decatur, the daughter of Harold and Myrtie (Braden) Lickey. Her parents and brother Brian L. Lickey preceded her in death.

Renee was a MacArthur High School graduate and worked for Citizens National Bank in Decatur and retired from Hickory Point Bank in Forsyth after 40 years of service in banking.

Renee married James R. Phipps on June 6, 1971, who survives her along with her daughter Rachelle (Rob) Shull of Decatur. Also survived is Travis L. Lickey (nephew), Truett C. Lickey (great nephew) and cousin Charles (Chuck) D. LeMons.

Memorial Services will be Monday, October 30th at 3pm at Destiny Church on North Main Street in Moweaqua.
