Richard Gustafson

Richard “Rick” John Gustafson of Washington, Illinois, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024, at the age of 67.

Rick was born on December 18, 1956, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Charles “Chuck” W. Gustafson and Delores Jean (Schneider) Shutak. Rick was the youngest child of three. Rick graduated from Morton High School, Morton, Illinois, in 1976. He spent the majority of his career working as a union teamster. In 2021, Rick retired and spent his time enjoying his favorite hobbies with friends and family. Rick enjoyed close childhood friendships throughout his entire adult life. Rick was known for his social personality, eagerness to help anyone, and his loving and kind nature.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brothers, Charles “Chuck” (Teresa) W. Gustafson Jr. and James “Bo” Gustafson, his daughter, Linnea Rae Gustafson, his nephews, Charles Andrew Gustafson and Christopher Ryan Gustafson, his niece, Emily (Ben) Gustafson-Schmitt, his cousins, and many dear friends.
