Richard Higbie Jr.     July 30, 1957——February 24, 2026.

Rick passed away after years of battling illnesses related to diabetes. Rick was a long-time resident of both Pontiac and Long Point, Illinois. He also lived in California in 80’s and Florida in the 90’s. Rick was veteran of many years of military service having served in both the Marine Corps and the US Army. After leaving the military, he chose a career as a truck driver doing both long haul and later more local routes.

Rick was an avid sports fan, especially for football and NASCAR racing. Rick is survived by his wife Carole Higbie, daughters Heidi (Andy) Larsen and Rachel Smith, his brothers Dale (Cindi) Higbie, Randy (Cheryl)Higbie and Scott Higbie and sister Alicia (Nick) Hall along with numerous nieces and nephews and several grandchildren.

Rick was preceded in death by his father Richard Higbie Sr., his mother Dayle (Higbie) Faxon and his previous wife Tami Higbie. A memorial/celebration of life will be held at later date.
