Robert E. Pier (Bean) 79, Lake Fork, Illinois
Robert passed away Friday, Jan. 27,2023 at home surrounded by his family.
He was born to Robert and Sally (Bitner)Pier in Washington DC. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving are two sons, Troy Pier (Robin Fox) of Lincoln, Illinois and Gary Pier (Connie Aiello) of Lake Fork, Illinois
He is also survived by two grandsons, Tony (Yasamine) Pier of North Carolina, and Brayden Pier of Lake Fork, Illinois.
Also surviving are three granddaughters Koti (Domer) Huffman of Virginia, Illinois, Karii Anne Pier of Pleasant Plains, Illinois and Kaitlyn Pier of Lake Fork, Illinois
Three great grandsons Julian Huffman, Isaiah and Elijah Stelivan.
Robert was a Marine Corps Veteran. Anyone who knew him, knows he had jokes, stories, and card tricks for days. He enjoyed hobbies such as drawing, painting, making family and friends Birthday and Christmas cards. He was very talented. Most important to him was his family and close friends. Most of all he was Founder and President of SPONGE, for those who really knew him.
Cremation rites will be accorded by Central Cremation Center in Forsyth, Illinois.
Services at Camp Butler in Springfield, Illinois will be held at a later date.
