Roy Travis McKown Jr., 64 of Mt. Zion, IL., passed away on March 9, 2026, in his residence.
He was born on April 25, 1961, to Roy Travis McKown Sr. and Ruth Jeanett McKown in Decatur, IL.
Roy graduated from Mt. Zion High School.
He loved fishing, hunting, working on vehicles, and playing pool. Roy was on a pool league and also raced cars in his younger years.
He was a great father and loved by many.
Roy is survived by his daughters Ashly and Crystal McKown, grandson Spencer Latham II, brother Carl McKown (Patty McKown), nephews Robert, Brian, and Kevin McKown, and niece Katie McKown.
Roy is preceded in death by his parents, brother John McKown (Cheryl McKown), and his high school best friend Brian Kohlbecker.
