Sandra M. Bogle of Decatur, IL., passed away on January 3, 2024 at her residence. Central Cremation Center assisted the family with arrangements.

Sandra was born May 3, 1955, in Decatur, the daughter of Lawrence “Sandy” Koontz and Betty Kirgan Koontz. She earned her GED and went on to be the Office Manager at various nursing homes.

In her day, she loved riding on Harley Davidsons. She also loved to shop, dance, watch game shows and read. Anyone that knew her would know her for her laugh.

Survivors include her son Shane Koontz (Tami Riddle), daughters Christie Kinney (James) and Whitney Crosby (Brad), brother Terry Koontz (Sharon) along with special niece Paula Turner (Matt Hermes), eight grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews.

Her parents, brother George Koontz, sister Peggy Puckett and nephew Roy J. Elder preceded her in death.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled on Saturday, January 20th from 1-3pm at Life Builders Church at 833 West Pershing Road in Decatur.
