Shannon Michele Childers, 50, of Springfield, Illinois, passed away on November 22, 2023, in Springfield. She was born on April 5, 1973, in Springfield, Illinois.

Shannon was a loving mother, kind-hearted, and always willing to help others. She cherished her role as a mother and was known for her compassionate nature as a friend. Shannon’s warm presence and beautiful smile will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Gage, Jordan, and Brandon, as well as her brother, James T. Birt, and father, James A. Birt. Shannon was preceded in death by her mother, Laura Teater and brother Mikey.
