Sharon M. Trello (Cain), 90, of Springfield, IL., passed away peacefully Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Regency Nursing Home with family by her side.

Sharon dedicated her life to taking care of children. She raised six children and was a foster mother to dozens more. After raising her own children, she worked at Calvary Temple Daycare until she retired.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents George E. Cain and Essie M. Cain, her husband Joseph Trello, and sons Michael L. Cassiday and James B. Cassiday IV, “Buck.”

She is survived by Kelly Cassiday (Ellen), Matthew Cassiday (Susan), Andrew Trello (Jen) and Noelle Trello, Linda Cassiday daughter-in-law, as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Per her request, cremation will be accorded and there will be no services. We would like to thank Timberlake Supportive Living and Transitions Hospice Care for their care of Sharon.
